About our program...
Kit Carson is the newest offering in the Clark County School District magnet program. A hand-selected staff, empowered by the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) teacher training, eagerly awaits your children. Join us as we take the steps to become an authorized IB school. Your child will benefit from this small school as it offers a globally-rich curriculum that is challenging and yet fun for students to learn together. Six themes tie the school year together and students are able to connect what they are learning to the world around them.
Students will explore science and social studies concepts, learn a second language, have access to a variety of reading materials, and use the latest technology to research topics in which they are interested. In addition to our illustrious academic program, our school provides students an opportunity to explore the world through music, art, and dance. International Baccalaureate schools are globally renowned as schools of excellence, and many students who finish high school in IB schools excel in higher education. - Excerpt from the Magnet Brochure
